Equations / Aboveground biomass
Quercus coccifera total aboveground fuel (biomass) from basal diameter, all development states
As printed (Table 2 caption)
In this library's units, ready to compute (kg)
Aboveground biomass = exp(4.056) * DRC^2.481 * 1.069 / 1000DRC- Root collar / stem base diameter, cm
Total fuel here is all plant biomass of the individual (living plus dead, all size classes), pooled over four post-fire development states (5, 9, 14 and 26 years). X is basal stem diameter in cm (the paper says measured in cm; Table 2 does not repeat the unit) and Y is in grams. Individuals sampled are 10-12 per species per state; per-species n and diameter range are not stated, so left out. Equation is a species-level shrub or small-tree fuel model. The paper writes the fit as 'log Y = log a + b log X' without naming the base, but prints the back-transform as Y = exp(a) × X^b × CF (Table 2 caption), so a is taken as a natural-log intercept as the paper itself does.
