Schinus patagonicus aboveground dry weight from DAP (Cuadro 1)
© Nicolas Olejnik · CC BY · iNaturalistAs printed (Cuadro 1, Schinus patagonicus column, T row (DAP), p. 98)
In this library's units, ready to compute (kg)
Aboveground biomass = -15.902 + 14.498 * DD- Diameter at breast height (1.3 m), cm
Total aboveground dry weight (T, kg) is the sum of leaves, thin and thick branches and stem, built branch by branch. Adjusted R² 0,92 is printed as R² aj.; the schema field r2 is left out because the paper gives only the adjusted value. No correction factor applies (linear model). The same table gives a basal-diameter (DB, measured at 15 cm above ground) equation, not added because DB at 15 cm is not a canonical variable. Stem dry weight (F) rows are credited to Gyenge et al. (2008) and the DAP volume rows to Reque et al. (2007), so they are not taken from this paper.

La distribución de DAP de los árboles apeados fue de: laura 3,7 a 12,8 cm
- Trees measured
- 8
- DBH range
- 3.7–12.8 cm
- Method
- stepwise linear regression of tree dry weight on DAP (adjusted R² 0,92)
- Where
- Foyel river valley, Río Negro, NW Patagonia, Argentina
- Last checked
- 2026-11-02
Shaded: the DBH range the model was fitted on. Other inputs held at the values above.
On every build, the library's form and the paper's own form (in its units) must both give these values within 1%.
| Inputs | Expected | We get | From |
|---|---|---|---|
| D = 8 | 100.1 | 100.1 | Computed from the printed form hand-computed from the Cuadro form |
| D = 12 | 158.1 | 158.1 | Computed from the printed form hand-computed from the Cuadro form |
