Equation
As printed (Eq. 10, p. 475)
WR = 0.199ρ^0.899 D^2.22
In this library's units, ready to compute (kg)
Root biomass = 0.199 * rho^0.899 * D^2.22rho- Wood density (oven-dry mass / green volume), g/cm³
D- Diameter at breast height (1.3 m), cm
Root weight includes the prop roots of Rhizophora and the aerial roots of other species. D is dbh for every species except Rhizophora: for a Rhizophora tree, enter DR0.3 (trunk diameter 30 cm above the highest prop root) as D, not its dbh. Bruguiera and Ceriops (also Rhizophoraceae) use dbh. Eq. 10 is Table 4's form times CF 1.017.
