Table 2 prints R2 as a percentage. D is diameter at ground level (DAS, 'diâmetro ao nível do solo', cm), mapped to DRC; H is total height in m; MS is dry mass in kg (Table 2 footnote). 'DH' and 'DH2' are read as D*H and D*H^2, and 'D2H' as D^2*H (variables listed on p. 358 as DAS*H, DAS*H2, DAS2*H). Total aerial dry biomass (leaves, branches, trunk). Diameter range of the sampled trees printed as 3,5 a 14 cm (ground-level diameter, so not entered as a DBH range): use inside that range. The printed 'D1,59815' has lost its superscript; read as D^1.59815 (the Nelson et al. power model MS = b0*DAS^b1 used in the paper). S, R2 and F are not printed for this species. Equations were also fitted by diameter class for all species pooled (Table 3); those are not included here.
