Betula pendula / Stem biomass
Betula pendula stem in bark biomass vs DBH (Eq. 4), forest-swamp, Middle Urals
© Douglas Goldman · CC BY-SA · iNaturalistAs printed (Eq. (4) and Table 4, p. 126)
In this library's units, ready to compute (kg)
Stem biomass = exp(-1.9888 + 2.1307 * ln(D))D- Diameter at breast height (1.3 m), cm
The Baskerville log-correction is already in the printed intercept a0 (Table 4 footnote), so no separate factor. adjusted R2 reported: 0.947 (not used as r2). Pa excludes dead branches (reported separately as Pmort); the contract cannot express that exclusion. Only the 4 main fractions (stem in bark, branches, foliage, total) are added; bark and dead-branch fits omitted. 18 birch and 12 pine trees from 4 plots in one forest-swamp system.

Shaded: the DBH range the model was fitted on. Other inputs held at the values above.
On every build, the library's form and the paper's own form (in its units) must both give these values within 1%.
| Inputs | Expected | We get | From |
