Equations / Aboveground biomass
Polylepis incana AGB from DBH (Tabla 4, power form)
As printed (Tabla 4, p. 112 (exponent printed as superscript))
In this library's units, ready to compute (kg)
Aboveground biomass = 0.118 * D^2.0078D- Diameter at breast height (1.3 m), cm
M is aboveground biomass in kg (Tabla 1 header 'M (Kg)'). Trees were air-dried in shade to constant weight (about 8 weeks), not oven-dried, so 'dry' mass may be slightly high. The linear form in Tabla 4 prints 'Ln(M) = -2,371 + 2,0078Ln(DAP)', which conflicts with Tabla 3 (LNB = -2,137) and with 0,118 = exp(-2,137); the power form is used here. The harvested trees in Tabla 1 span DAP 6,0–18,0 cm; 5–20 cm is the range the authors state. No log-bias correction factor applied by the authors. Same data republished in Rev. Tayacaja 1(1):17-27 (2018).

On every build, the library's form and the paper's own form (in its units) must both give these values within 1%.
